Robby and I have been really lucky to have two vehicles. Lately, however, the truck has been on the fritz. We have done very well at sharing the car, even though it is inconvenient at times.
We think the trouble with the truck is the battery or the alternator... but we haven't taken the time to fix it (which can probably be done without too much effort). When we have really needed the truck we have been able to jump start it, but usually it just makes the noises of starting and won't catch (ru ru rur ruuuu... etc) so we stick with using only the car.
Yesterday I had the car and apparently left the lights on. When I needed it to go to my birthing class, low and behold the battery was dead and the car wouldn't start. Well with Robby out of town, I called my brother to help but he didn't answer. I decided that maybe I should give the truck a try before I get frantic and start calling a ton of people.... Well this is where the simple miracle takes place... the truck started on the first try!!! I couldn't believe it. So I got my class ok and lucky for me it stared again at the end of the class.
Later that night when I was talking to Robby on the phone I told him of my little miracle with the truck. He was impressed. I asked him if he thought the truck would start in the morning or if it was just a fluke, he had no idea.
To make this miracle truly a miracle, the truck would NOT start this morning after many tries. So I was able to get my neighbor, who i don't know, (another miracle considering I couldn't get a hold of any of my family) to help me jump start the car and was able to go about my day just like normal. Now I will try to remember my lights from now on...
Isn't is amazing how when we need something a blessing is provided. If we take time to look at our lives we will see many little miralces. Thanks for sharing.
