A Very Merry Half Birthday to me!

Hi! My name is Timothy Clyde Evans and I am 6 MONTHS old today!

Stats:
Yesterday at my WIC appointment, they measured me-

Weight- 18lbs 11oz (I have gained 10lbs, 10oz since birth!)
Height- 27 ¾ in. (although mom thinks I'm taller)
Head- 18cm (I know... big head!)

New Things:

1. I can roll over from my back to my tummy.

2. I can sit up for a little while on my own (see picture).
   

3. I have two bottom TEETH! (but I don't bite mom!)

4. I can turn around on my tummy and go places by rolling and pushing backwards

5. I can find, grab, and put things in mouth all by myself (this comes in handy when I am in my crib and I want my pacifier)

Things I like:

1. I like to be outside! When I am sad, the fresh air calms me down.

2. I like my bath! I am learning how to splash, and mom even lets me suck on my washcloth- Yum!

3. I like to roll over when mom or dad is trying to dress me! Heehee

4. I like to sing along with mom when she rocks me.

5. I like to play the noise game with daddy! (I screech as high as I can and daddy rumbles as low as he can... then we meet in the middle!)

Things I DON'T like:

1. I don't like being left alone for too long...

2. I don't like the oatmeal cereal that mom keeps trying to feed me.

3. I REALLY don't like the blue snot sucker my mom uses on my nose.

4. I don't like rolling over in my crib and getting stuck against the bumper.

Things mom and dad love about me:

1. my smile (and my cute pouty face)

2. my laugh

3. all the things that I like about me... except #3 (see above)

4. that I am growing healthy and strong

5. that I am learning new things everyday and getting better at things I can already do

Teeth!?!

Well, Timothy has officially started cutting his first teeth. Yesterday the bottom left one appeared and today the bottom right has kind of started peeking up. He has not been terribly fussy or feverish, lucky for us! However, nursing him is now something that I fear a little bit... we'll see how he does as far as NOT biting me!

Home again, Home again

So this past week (25th -1st) we went to Kentucky for a Evans Family Reunion! It was a blast! We had so much fun with all our family and everybody just loved Timothy... i mean how could they not, since he is the cutest baby EVER!
Anyway, we flew back on Saturday (Timothy did really well flying) and are back to real life. Pictures and such will come soon!

Crazy? or just plain Lazy?

So I decided to be BOLD and get a PERM!!! AHHHH! I haven't had a perm since I was in 6th grade! I think I am either CRAZY to bring myself back to the 90's or just plain LAZY... I need something EASY with a baby! (just scrunch and go!) It is probably a little of both!!!
(and to make myself feel better about it... the hair dresser said that perms are coming back!! Maybe I am a little ahead of the game on this one... rather than behind like I usually am...)

Well I don't exactly have a "before picture"...

but this is two months ago and it is straight, so it counts!

I didn't really get dressed up to show it off (just had a co-worker snap it for me) but it works too! Personally, I LOVE IT! and Robby does too! (and those are the only two people that really matter, as far as this goes!)

...and the whole reason for needing something easy...

Happy 3 Months

Well, 3 months ago this morning our little Timothy joined our family! It has been a very fun adventure so far! he is continually growing cuter everyday! We love him so much!

updates

Life has been busy lately so I haven't updated the blog in a while, but I wanted to post some updates of our life.

Timothy continues to grow and amazes us more everyday!

he loves to suck on his hands! he even tries to put both fists in his mouth at the same time... so funny! when his hands aren't in his mouth, they are in fist right up by his chin, and if he has a blanket nearby, he is clenched onto that for dear life. We think he is going to be a blanky boy, because he loves to cuddle with any fabric right up under his neck.

weight- 12 lbs 9.5 oz. (70th %)
height- 24 3/4 in (95th %)
tall baby! he is over 2 feet tall!
head- 16 in (65th %)

daddy can always make him smile! He is really close to laughing... he has chuckled a few times in his sleep, but not quite yet when he is awake.

Super Timmy!

He is getting so strong! During tummy time, he lifts his head up a little higher each time!

second time swimming! (first time we forgot the camera) He must be his mother's son, because he actually liked it! he didn't even fuss when i dunked him... just make a really funny face!

Speaking of swimming... since the summer has started now, i am back in the swim team scene! i am not full time coaching this year, but i get to stay on with my team and do all the boring stuff... paper work and scheduling! But hey, i still love it! That, a book club for RS, and being with Timothy is what makes up my life right now!

Robby is working pretty much full time with his uncle, and full time in his calling for the summer! and even with all that hard work, he still inds time to be the best daddy and hubby ever! love you honey!

Besides everything i already wrote about timmy, he is officially sleeping through the night! i know, you can be jealous! (10:30pm to 8:50am last night) his favorite thing to do is stand, and he thinks he is a very cute baby when he looks in the mirror!!(he stares and smiles at himself for minutes!)
